JPC HISTORICAL SYNOPSIS
Youth for Christ has a wonderful history.
We are a movement truly born of prayer and a passion to share the Gospel with youth.
One of JPC's earliest and most enduring mottos was “Matched with the times, Anchored to the Rock”. This phrase may have gone down in history, but the truth that its founders expressed in it lives on in JPC ministries, active in more than a hundred countries.
JPC continues to stay “with the times” through contemporary methods that keep JPC at the forefront of youth evangelism, vigorously pushing the frontiers of the Gospel in today's youth cultures.
For the last 75 years JPC has maintained a flexible stance in terms of methodology. Yet she has remained firmly anchored in a deep biblical faith, maintaining a faithful commitment to Jesus Christ and his inspired word. “Anchored to the Rock”.
That is perhaps why when Youth for Christ founding president Torrey Johnson was asked about the future of the organization, he replied, “The best is yet to come.”
